Fair & humanitarian activities

Martin’s Hotels has selected three Belgian non-profit associations, reputed for their dynamism, professionalism and very low operating costs and, above all, their close supervision over the work carried out in the field, in order to make sure that the money of our worthy donors is put to the best possible use.

We are all aware of the close links between Haiti and Africa, which is why we could not ignore the appeal of www.mainsouvertes.org following the cataclysmic Haitian earthquake of January 2010.

The association www.enavantlesenfants.be, for its part, was set up as a natural reaction to the fate of the children, and others, who fell victim to the devastation wreaked by the volcano that destroyed Goma (Congo) in January 2002. Almost 10 years later, the magnificent Great Lakes region is still struggling to get back on its feet.

Finally, www.facecharity.com has been caught up in the turmoil that has erupted in Egypt, and whose financial situation is worsening by the day.

Martin’s Hotel makes no secret of its admiration for all these women and men who devote their lives to others in order to instil in thousands of children the hope of a better world. Children who, one day who knows, will in turn help build the just and fair world of which most of us dream.

By donating 1 euro during your stay in any of our 10 hotels and by buying a cup of tea or coffee (we donate 50 cents on your behalf for each cup your buy), you make an ACTIVE contribution to a better world.
One hundred percent of your contribution is paid to these three associations.

Furthermore, thanks also in part to our campaign, the Rombouts family buys around thirty tonnes of fair trade coffee in the same Great Lakes region (Congo-Rwanda) from the company www.comequi.org, which specialises in fair trade.

We would also like to take this opportunity to remind you that, this year again, we will continue to actively come to the aid of thousands of young children.
