In the Governor's home
The history of the four great houses which make up Martin's Relais Oud Huis Amsterdam dates back to the 17th century. At the time, the Governor of Amsterdam decided to build his secondary residence there, alongside the canal which then marked the entrance to the city for the merchants who came from all over Europe. Other great houses were soon built on either side of this exceptional residence. Today they form a group of which each part expresses its individuality through its own interior design.
