Martin’s Central Park is the perfect starting point for many journeys into the past: the stonework heritage of Léopold II, the Builder King, who, amongst other architectural legacies, bequeathed us the Cinquantenaire, the Museum of Ancient Art and the façade of the Royal Palace. For more recent gems, there is the modern era of urban Art Nouveau, whose spiral scrolls still remain on houses just a stone’s throw from the Berlaymont!
Also in the immediate neighbourhood, Martin’s Central Park has a succession of parks ideally suited for jogging. The conveniently located metro station nearby is perfect for avoiding traffic jams and getting to the Grand Place to enjoy its network of alleyways festooned with glittering reminders of the 17th century, or for visiting the fashion houses or cinemas in the elegant Louise district
